Nan Clinton is the second child, oldest daughter, of seven siblings. She attended elementary through graduate programs in Catholic schools. Throughout her career as a Montessori teacher, high school teacher, and school administrator, she has many stories to tell that are playful, hilarious, and entertaining.
Along with the whimsical side, and life experiences they are both sad and wise. Nan believes that storytelling is the bond that reconnects…stories convey the humanness in all of us.
Judy Hogfeldt is a retired high school English teacher who resides in Homer Glen. A former figure skater, she now trains and performs in ballroom dance events and enjoys writing for theater. She is the author of When I Get Home performed by Limestone Stage in 2022, and has performed in several Limestone productions. She was recently seen in Ravens & Revenge: From the mind of Edgar Allan Poe.
Act 1 of Carol Sutter's life took place all over Chicago's Southwest side, racking up unique life experiences. In 1994, Act 2 moved her to Lockport with her husband and Son #1, to refine her parenting skills as they acquired Sons #2, #3, and #4. Carol's "plot twist" came in 2010, when her beloved Vietnam Veteran husband died from Agent Orange, leaving her to raise their four sons, alone. Now in Act 3, with her sons grown, Carol volunteers with Lockport's Limestone Stage Community Theatre. After a 30-year hiatus, she's back performing on stage, as well as working as Marketing Director. This year, Carol wants to improve her writing enough to be published again! When she's not at home practicing "The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning," Carol's excited to improve her storytelling with Stories R Us! She hopes to give her memories a voice and to touch your heart with her words.
Kimberly Vanbiesbrouck is an actor, dancer, singer, writer and most importantly, a Mom. She’s a Belgian girl raised in Detroit, but thanks to her highly useful Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Dance, she has appeared in numerous productions across this great land of ours; from A Chorus Line, Forbidden Broadway, Always, Patsy Cline, Forbidden Hollywood, Motherhood, the Musical, to the long running, highly successful and all too relatable show, Menopause, the Musical. Kimberly has been fortunate enough to be a part of storytelling events all around the Chicagoland area, such as, Filet of Solo, Chicago Story Sessions, Voicebox, Homewood Stories, Miss Spoken and Louder Than A Mom.
Michelle Young grew up in central Illinois and has lived in Chicago over 30 years. By day she manages a global sales team in hospitality software, by night she writes (stories and comedy). She also is an avid gardener and artist. Michelle started telling her stories on stage right before Covid. She has told stories with a variety of groups in the Chicagoland areas including; Is This A Thing, Do Not Submit, Story Lab and Serving the Sentence. Michelle loves to tell and hear stories as they help us to build community and connect with each other.
